Pamela Shippel - cook, teacher, consultant, broadcaster, columnist and restaurateur - studied in South Africa, New York and London. She established the highly acclaimed Pick ’n Pay School of Cooking. Pamela has appeared on two television cooking series and, for five years, was the resident ‘foodie’ on the live radio programme ‘Talk About’.
Pamela ran her own successful catering and food consultancy company abroad for ten years before returning to South Africa. At her restaurant, The Kirstenbosch Tea Room, in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town, the menu reflects her love of the exotic as well as old favourites.
